Together Building Saskatchewan: Construction Associations of Saskatchewan Congratulates the New Government

October 30, 2024

The Construction Associations of Saskatchewan would like to congratulate Scott Moe and the Saskatchewan Party on winning a majority in Saskatchewan’s 30th General Election. As the provincial voice of the commercial construction industry in the province, we are looking forward to the opportunity to work with the newly elected government in advancing the shared goals of economic growth, infrastructure development and addressing skilled labour shortage.

Our industry plays a pivotal role in driving the economic growth of the province, generating employment opportunities and enhancing the overall quality of life for the residents of Saskatchewan. We firmly believe that collaboration between the Construction Associations and the government is vital for building resilient communities and fostering sustainable development.

We commend the Sask Party for their commitment to addressing the challenges faced by our members and the industry. We appreciate their understanding of investing in infrastructure, government-industry partnership and considering the removal of PST on construction projects.

Additionally, the Construction Associations of Saskatchewan commends the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party, which will form the Official Opposition, for their well-run campaign and for raising important issues that resonate with the people of Saskatchewan. A robust democracy thrives when multiple perspectives are presented, and the Official Opposition plays a crucial role in fostering a healthy debate on key matters affecting our province. We look forward to continued dialogue and collaboration with the New Democrats to address pressing concerns in our industry.

The Construction Associations of Saskatchewan eagerly anticipates working closely with the newly elected government. During this election period, we highlighted issues such as Building Futures: Encouraging Youth in Construction, Government-Industry Partnership: Advancing Construction Success, emphasizing how the Government of Saskatchewan can support a strong and prosperous province. We will continue to advocate for our members, working together to build a stronger and better Saskatchewan.

Once again, congratulations to the Sask Party on their success in the provincial election. We look forward to a productive partnership that will shape the future of the construction industry and contribute to the success of Saskatchewan.
