Construction Association of Saskatchewan (CASK) Welcomes Mayor Chad Bachynski’s Motion to Undertake Comprehensive Review of Construction Practices

March 27, 2026

We are encouraged by Mayor Bachynski’s motion for the City of Regina to undertake a comprehensive review of its construction practices. CASK has been a long-standing advocate for these much-needed changes and for the past year has been actively working to advance a more coordinated and efficient approach to planning, permitting, scheduling and project delivery. We are pleased to see this work now coming to fruition.

CASK has consistently engaged with City administration on these challenges, bringing forward practical insights and industry-driven solutions. While progress has not always been straightforward, we remain firm in our view that meaningful collaboration between the City and industry stakeholders is critical to achieving lasting change. We call upon City Hall to work directly with CASK and our members to gain a clear, on-the-ground understanding of the challenges and bottlenecks facing the industry.

CASK and our members stand ready to support the City in this important work. As leaders within Saskatchewan’s construction industry, we welcome the opportunity to provide input, share expertise and work closely with the Mayor’s office and city administration.

Our shared goal is clear: to deliver high-quality infrastructure and construction projects that maximize value for the people of Regina.

Our members take great pride in building and maintaining the Queen City’s critical infrastructure, and we look forward to strengthening a collaborative and productive partnership with the City to ensure this initiative achieves meaningful and lasting results.

Together We Build Regina.

Together We Build Saskatchewan.
