Today, the co-CEOs and the Advocacy team of the Construction Associations of Saskatchewan (including the PACA, SCA, SKCA, RCA, and MJCA), along with a member representative, met with Minister Joe Hargrave and Deputy Minister Denise Macza of SaskBuilds and Procurement, at the Legislature to discuss critical issues affecting the industry.

During the meeting, our representatives commended the government for its commitment to ongoing investment in major construction projects in the province, supporting our provincial growth aspirations.

Our Advocacy team provided the industry perspective to the Honourable Joe Hargrave and Denise Macza, covering topics such as cultivating careers in construction and continued engagement with the Ministry.

In addition, the Construction Association took the opportunity to express industry concerns regarding the cost of construction, procurement, and the challenges with respect to skilled labour. The Minister is committed to understanding these challenges and expressed intentions to address them through ongoing collaboration.

Through close collaboration with the Government of Saskatchewan, the Association is committed to facilitating the construction industry’s effort to build resilient and sustainable infrastructure for the benefit of the people of Saskatchewan.

As part of our ongoing commitment to representing the Construction industry, our Association, along with member representatives will continue conversations about key industry priorities with the Government of Saskatchewan at our Construction Lobby Day, scheduled in April.

We anticipate continued collaboration with the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement to achieve shared objectives. As embodied by our provincial motto “Multis e gentibus vires” (From Many Peoples Strength), our industry takes pride in continually constructing new communities and fortifying our public infrastructure.
